Social Impact Workshop
When it comes to social impact measurement many social entrepreneurs don’t know where to start or how to measure the impact that they are having.
This interactive workshop will provide you with a better understanding of social impact measurement, the tools you can use to begin to measure your impact and provide you with helpful ideas to communicate that impact. This workshop is facilitated by Finbarr Fitzpatrick, Associate Gauge NI.

The morning workshop (9.00am – 1.00pm) will include:
- Introduction to social impact - what is it, why measure it, how can it be measured
- Understanding what to measure and when to measure it
- Understanding outcomes - best practice and case studies
- How to engage with stakeholders
- Communicating your impact
Lunch will be provided at 1.00pm
The afternoon workshop (2.00pm – 5.00pm) – Getting It Right
Be prepared to be challenged! This reflective, facilitated group session will enable you to share what social impact you have already measured and how your have communicated your impact to date. It will provide you with the opportunity to practice your pitch/ discuss your tender for investment. Finbarr will provide you with tips and suggestions for improvement.
You are welcome to join us for lunch at 1.00pm which will give you an opportunity to network with other social entrepreneurs.
About the trainer:
The workshop is facilitated by Finbarr Fitzpatrick Associate Gauge NI. Gauge works with private, public and third sector organisations providing a full range of development support in measuring, evaluating and showcasing social impact. Finbarr has worked in the field of social value measurement for over 15 years in the statutory and third sectors across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. He has completed a wide range of robust stakeholder driven social impact evaluations for social enterprises and is passionate about helping ventures to evidence their value using social value principles.
